Ukrainian Handball Federation
Overview
The Ukrainian Handball Federation (UHF) is the governing body of team handball in Ukraine. It is responsible for organizing and overseeing all aspects of the sport in the country, including national teams, club competitions, and grassroots development.
National Teams
The UHF oversees the Ukrainian national handball teams, which represent the country in international competitions. The men's national team competes in the European Handball Championship and the IHF World Championship, while the women's national team participates in the European Women's Handball Championship and the IHF Women's World Championship.
Club Competitions
The UHF organizes and sanctions club competitions in Ukraine, including the Ukrainian Handball Super League, the Ukrainian Handball Cup, and the Ukrainian Women's Handball League. These competitions provide opportunities for Ukrainian clubs to compete at the highest levels of the sport.
Grassroots Development
The UHF also promotes handball at the grassroots level by supporting youth programs, organizing coaching clinics, and developing educational initiatives. Its goal is to increase the popularity and participation of handball in Ukraine and identify and nurture future talents.
International Affiliations
The UHF is affiliated with the International Handball Federation (IHF) and the European Handball Federation (EHF). Through these affiliations, Ukrainian handball has access to international competition and development opportunities.
